The Shire of Ngaanyatjarraku and Warburton Community wish to draw the attention of the Attorney General to a range of issues relating to proposed changes of the Sentencing Act (1995), and other prospective legislative changes likely to impact the facilitation of Justice in regional Western Australia.

The Shire of Ngaanyatjarraku aligns itself with Local Government instrumentalities across the State in accepting responsibility for elements of law, order and community safety. Both the Shire and Warburton Community wish to highlight aspects of the operation of the criminal justice system. A copy of the submission presented to the office of the Attorney General is attached below.
